One amazing fact about Malaysian cuisines is that the foods keeps repeating themselves everywhere therefore you can find, the delicacies everywhere. Malaysian dishes are a unique blend of Chinese, Malay, Nonya and Indian flavours. These cooking styles of these cultures have a deep-effect in the Malaysian flavours but it is without the spiciness of the Asian cooking. 


Today Malaysian joints have scattered its counters all over the world since people are in love with this hot spicy delicacies. The food has made a mark of its own, and it is increasingly becoming famous. Cuisines that one might wish to try, if they ever visit Malaysia. Some of these famous & palatable dishes are:

  • Roti Canai (The Flat bread) – flat bread is often eaten with dipped curry for breakfast. 
  • Batu Maung Satay (The Grilled Meat on Skewers) - Satay is a marinated pieces of pork, chicken or beef which are grilled on bamboo skewers. It is served with onion and cucumber.
  • Nasi Lemak- This is one of the popular cuisines, when it comes to eating at a Malaysian eating-place. In this cuisine, rice is steamed and soaked in coconut cream, which gives a nice aroma. 
  • Ice Kacang – This is a Corn and Bean Dessert, similar to banana split, but the ingredients are kidney beans, corn and shaved ice topped with syrup of bubblegum flavors.
  • Chee Cheong Fun – Are Rice-Noodle Rolls. This dish is then mixed with chili sauce and a black, shrimp, sweet sauce, the texture is gluey.
